this is probably my favorite ds9-related novel. it had the feeling of well-organized fanfic, and in a good way. there needs to be more trek fiction like this one.
I’ve never been too interested in Dax but I really liked this too. I had the same thought while reading it; this is really well-organized fan fiction with some clever ideas. So far most of the DS9 relaunch novels have been pretty good.
