Pardon the mess for the next few hours while I work on the new theme.

I am almost done. I will finish in the morning. One problem: do you see how images are shaded? How do I fix that? I assume it is something I need to change in the CSS “style” file…right?

Images are fixed. Now I have to fix up a few small things.

Alright I think I am done. I had to get rid of the “my comments elsewhere” badge because it wouldn’t format well. Everything else should be in order, but if something is not please comment below.

Some of my Flickr pictures need to have their formatting cleaned up.  I will do that later tonight.

I am going to be doing a redesign on this blog in a few weeks.  I am really impressed by the newer WordPress themes that allow widgets.  Right now, I am too busy with research, class, and article writing but sometime in August I will get working on a new design.

If you look to your right you will notice that readers can now subscribe to this blog via email.  If there are any bugs or issues please leave a comment.

I spent some time tonight moving things around. I think things look a lot better now.  I got a new, nicer looking, Creative Commons license and also added a tag cloud.

I seem to have broken my Flickr link however; I will take a look again tomorrow and see if I can fix it.

The past few days I have spent time fixing the categories on this blog. Some changes you might notice:

• Categories are now in alphabetical order.

• I have broken down posts about literature into separate categories for each author. If someone has more than one, or two let us say, posts about them they will get their own category. The Literature category will still be used for misc posts.

• Other categories like Television and New Media have been broken down a bit more and will continue to be broken down as I decide to make more changes.

• There is now a link to my most recent Netflix DVD’s to the right on the bottom of this blog.

• Below that there is also a link to the most recent comments this blog has gotten, although it doesn’t seem to be updating right now.

You may notice I have added social bookmarking links to the bottom of my posts. I hope you will find this useful. I left all the available sites; personally I use Furl but I know other people use other sites and I want to respect and encourage their social bookmarking also.

We closed our pool yesterday. I went outside to check the water level (it has to be at X level before they close it) and I see this black thing flying around the edge. I look a little closer and it is a mole! We have had a couple of them (and baby squirrels!) drown this summer. I guess they are just running and fall in? We have saved a few too! So I run over to get our net and try to pull the little guy to safety. After a couple tries I get him into the net but he dives off of it onto the concrete, does a tuck and roll, and starts to run (sometimes they run right away, sometimes they chill out and dry off and then run) but he’s running right towards the pool! I yell out NO, NOT THAT WAY! and he puts on the brakes like a second later and reverses back towards the trees and fence.

I just stood there waving goodbye.
