Recently read: The Best Democracy Money Can Buy by Greg Palast.

I’ve been meaning to read this book for a couple years ever since being introduced to Palast’s work. This book chronicles the treasonous fraud, more than usual, that was the 2000 presidential election. I decided to listen to the audio book of this book because not only does Palast read it, but other awesome people like Jello Biafra and Amy Goodman do as well.

• Factcheck.org rips apart Jerome Corsi’s “mishmash of unsupported conjecture, half-truths, logical fallacies and outright falsehoods,“ The Obama Nation.
• Weekly…viewing: After a bunch of years of rumors, the four minute pilot for the proposed Buffy The Vampire Slayer animated series (planned to take place early in the series) has finally leaked onto the internet:

I have to say, this looks pretty good.  The dialouge stays very true to the series and the animation reminds me a lot of the excellent Batman: The Animated Series.

• Amy Goodman writes for Mother Jones about librarians in Connecticut who fought, and defeated, a National Security Letter.
• I am pretty excited that Bob Mould is writing an autobiography.
• The Complete Review reviews William Goldbloom Blooch’s The Unimaginable Mathematics Of Borges’ Library Of Babel.

One of the few voices in the news media I feel like I can trust is Amy Goodman. I really enjoy listening to Democracy Now!’s daily podcast. Goodman has a very diverse group of people on the show and tackles news that mainstream and so-called corporate “liberal” media outlets won’t go near. Here are a few interviews with Goodman I have read recently: One from November that Working For Change did and another from 2005 that The Nation did.
