My article for the new issue of The Quarterly Conversation is now available for reading. I reviewed N. Katherine Hayles’ Electronic Literature: New Horizons For The Literary and offered a brief introduction to many forms of electronic literature in general. It is such a privilege to contribute to The Quarterly Conversation. I am very happy with how the article came out.
There are plenty of other articles and reviews to engage with in the new issue. While I do hope readers check out my work, I strongly suggest looking at everything else as well.
A new issue of Open Letters Monthly is also out. OLM have been nice enough to add me to their blogroll, so please take a look at what they have to offer too. I am very interested in the article about the fiftieth anniversary of Miles Davis’ Kind Of Blue album.
I would love to hear what you think of my article via email, a tweet, or in the comments below.

Thanks a lot for a great article. This, Electronic Lit. book caught my eye in Barnes and Noble and it has indeed been an excellent introduction to the world of e-literature which I was not at all familiar with. It has also introduced me to the rest of Hayles work not all of which is as accessible as this one. I’m working through My Mother was a Computer and while taking some work, it’s quite mind-blowing and definitely rewarding. I’m finishing up my own Master’s in Library Science this spring and one of the papers that will herald that end will be dealing with the use of websites and website content in congruence with the book. Examples such as Alex Ross’s The Rest is Noise or Gomez’s Print is Dead. If you have any other information on this you would like to pass along that would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to your novel.
peace.
Jeremy-
Thank you for your kind comment. I think this book is the most straight forward introduction to elit I have encountered. Hayles’ other work is exceptional as well and, as you say, very mind blowing. It’s funny that Conversational Reading was just discussing John Barth, because I was just reading a Barth essay about Hayles’ writing about chaos theory recently!
I am very interested in Library Science these days. It seems they are a lot more accepting of New Media
thatthan English, which is very sad to me.My hypertext novel is semi online at http://www.wpwend.com/warprayers
I also post bits of it sometimes on this weblog also. Most of it was written back in 2004, but I am just getting it together to actually be published.
