Digital Arts & Electronic Literature Series

Thanks to the New Jersey Humanities Council, this fall, The Digital Arts and Electronic Literature Series at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. There will be three panel events in the next three months:

September 24th-Talan Memmott and William Gillespie, two of the most well known authors of hypertext fiction will be speaking. Memmott edits the Beehive Hypermedia Journal. Gillespie is best known as the publisher of Spineless Books.

October 15th-Nick Monfort and Noah Wardrip-Fruin, two of the best known critics of New Media will be speaking on the history of New Media. Both are co-editors of The New Media Reader and the Grand Text Auto blog. Wardrip-Fruin is also the editor of First Person a book about interactive drama while Montfort is also the author of Twisty Little Passages, the first book-length study of interactive fiction, and the sticker novel Implementation.

November 19th-Megan Sapnar and Ingrid Ankerson, co-editors of the New Media Poetry Journal Poems That Go will be speaking.

Also coming to Stockton this fall as part of the distinguished speakers program (Same program that brought Chuck D to Stockton two years ago) will be filmmaker Michael Moore, author Jeffrey Eugenides, and poet Sharon Olds.
