You’re a great teacher! The essays are a bit hard for me, but I think you’re awesome and I really hope I get the pleasure of having you again soon. You are fantastic!

Professor Wend seems to make extra work for himself just to make sure we are up to date on everything for class. However he teaches the class like English Lit is everyones major.

Professor Wend aka P-Dubbs is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I have never enjoyed a class more.

Professor Wend is definitely my favorite teacher that I have had at BCC. He teaches the course very clearly and with a lot of enthusiasm. Unlike most of my other teachers and professors at BCC, Professor Wend cares about helping each and every one of his students. He is an awesome teacher and I’m already looking for more classes that he’s teaching so that I can take them with him.

I totally love this class. I have been taught more in this class so far than all of my last semester. Professor Wend takes time in class to explain almost everything. He takes time after class for extra help. He converses through email and he makes learning fun and enjoyable. i would totally take another class with him if I could. I am excited every day to attend. I feel hopeful that my education will only improve with him.

Wend definitely makes his classes exciting. There’s really never a dull moment. I like how the class is discussion, but he sometimes doesn’t let the student get the whole point across or finish an idea. Sometimes his directions aren’t clear enough. His grading seems to be okay so far. Over all he’s a good teacher who keeps English exiting. I don’t dread coming to this class.

We haven’t had any exams. Overall a very good teacher. He really does seem to care about the student’s education and his enthusiasm and commitment makes the class a fun environment that’s easy to learn in.

Professor Wend is a very educated teacher and I am glad that I have him for this semester. Despite my distaste for some of the required readings, I still look forward to the class. Somehow, he makes two and a half hours go by quickly and I greatly appreciate that.

You need to have easier essay questions. They are way to hard. And go easy on grading I mean damn we only have a few grades. Your an ok teacher though.

I think that this class needs more assignments to bring your grade up, and the professor needs to help out a little more.

Professor Wend is an outstanding teacher and mentor. He thoroughly explains every assignment and has a plethora of resources at his students’ disposal to ensure success in his class. Not only has he proven to be a dedicated professor, but he has also become a mentor to me. He has helped me with numerous issues I have had through the year, related or unrelated to his class. He is a wonderful person that I intend to keep in my life throughout my entire college experience.

I am learning a lot from this course. Professor Wend is very organized and clear on what he is teaching. I have recommended him to other students. Unfortunately I can’t have him for my eng102 class because of scheduling conflicts. I think the extra grammar teaching is a great idea for students.

Professor Wend is an excellent teacher. It is extremely refreshing to find a teacher who understands the situations a modern student must face in college and, in turn, is generous with deadlines, grading, and expectations (without being too generous). I hope to continue my English studies with this professor, if at all possible.

This professor is outstanding. I look forward to this class and enjoy every class. I wish more of my BCC professors were as caring as Professor Wend. Professor knows his subject matter and he also knows how to share it.

Dr. Wend displays obvious mastery of lectured materials. Lectures are clear, and challenge students’ interpretations of many topics. Most students seem eager to contribute to discussions. Very enjoyable learning experience.

Professor Wend is teacher it takes time to understand. That being said, while his methods are new he brings humor to the subject he is teaching. At first, I was off put by his teaching but soon grew to enjoy it. With a subject like this, he makes sure class isn’t as boring as it could be. He also works with the student and gives them a fair chance to excel, but he is also honest and won’t allow misuse of that help. I really enjoy being taught by him.

He talks like an anchorman and I love it.

Professor Wend is really quirky and interesting. Despite how much he reminds me of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, he is a really awesome teacher and has definitely grown on me from the first day of class. Though he grades papers hard, he is doing it right. Personally, when pointing out a weak point in a paper, I’d like him to exactly tell what it is when it comes to grammar.

Spring 2011

Professor Wend is probably the best English teacher in the school. He’s good at what he does, he’s funny and charismatic, and he makes the class enjoyable. I’m really glad I had him for both 101 and 102.

Make the journal entries worth more than five points!!! The journals are a lot of work for only five points.

Professor Wend is a great teacher, because of this I have decided to draw him a “smiley face”

My only regret is that this will be my last class with Wend and I will miss the experiences greatly.

Professor Wend is an excellent teacher. I always looked forward to attending this class and to our discussions. I legitimately enjoyed myself. He is always available for extra help and to answer questions, and was completely accessible throughout the semester. I hope he stays at BCC so other students have the opportunity to have him as a professor.

This is not the professor to have if you are taking eng102 as a requirement. He teaches as if you are to be English majors or expects just that of you. I’m not an English major, nor will I ever take another English class after this one.

Professor Wend is a very good teacher that allows students to voice their opinions in class. He explains certain aspects of the reading and then opens the floor for discussion. This would go a lot smoother if the computer didn’t take so long to load, but other than that, the class has very few problems.

You are a good teacher, you can teach the class and still have a good time. You may act a little wired but its part of your teaching style so if its not broke don’t fix it.

Unfortunately midway through this semester we were assigned a new teacher. Fortunately Professor Wend is very understanding and caring and has taken on our class without any issue. I enjoy him and am confident in his ability to prepare me for English 102.

The previous instructor was the worst teacher I have had. I think that for coming into this class only a few weeks before this semester is over, Professor Wend has done an excellent job.

Since we have only had Professor Wend for a couple of weeks, it is hard to answer most of these questions. However, he is much more interesting and more organized than the last professor and he also grades more fairly. He is an excellent professor.

He teaches really well and prepares me for better writing skills.

There are a lot of assignments like papers given at one time.

Honestly his teaching coordinates well with my learning style. I am extremely lucky to have him as a teacher. He has always provided adequate answers to my questions and quickly answers emails.

Professor Wend definitely loves his job. He makes learning easy and has a unique personality that is easy to relate with. He makes sure that we are comfortable with the material he teaches. Also he takes time out of his schedule to review rough drafts and allows revisions. Many opportunities are made available to better your grade. Wend also is quick to respond to emails if help is needed. I believe he genuinely cares that each and every one of us does well in his class.

Professor Wend rules! I am not a fan of English class personally, but Wend makes it seem not so bad. If I had any other instructor, I’d probably gauge my eyes out during class.

This class was a blast! Professor Wend is extremely quirky, but it contributed to my learning in this class. I have never looked forward to an English class so much in my entire educational career. The way he presents the material is often amusing, but the humor helps with remembering the material.

Professor Wend is very organized, goes by the course syllabus and schedule, but I would greatly appreciate if we would get more notice on when things are due besides class before. The dates are up on the website, but I just really like when teachers give more notice and warnings on due dates.

In general, Professor Wend is a good teacher. However, he is not without his faults. He wears black more than the average person; I am afraid that in the summer he will have a heat stroke from his fashion decisions. It has also come to my attention that his shoes are seemingly never tied. Perhaps this happens only on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, but I still fear that one day he will trip, fall, and hurt his face.

Spring 2009

Professor Wend is well prepared for all classes and lectures. He takes concern when the student bring something up to his attention or ask questions. He has related some of he’s own experience as a former and current student to help us understand the class better.

Your awesome! I appreciate how organized you are and how you take time out (eoffice hours) to answer any questions. You are always updated on what’s going on in class. I can tell you really care about your students.

Instructor Wend is a great teacher. I wish all my teachers taught like him. He’s got a great personality which helps with our learning. He helps and understands us. I am looking forward to more classes with him if possible.

Mr. Wend is very much into making an effort to make his teachings understood. He is also very easy to talk to and very professional in his ways. I commend all that he does.

The class itself is what I have a problem with. We shouldn’t have to write all these essays unless our major specifically requires us to. It’s all just a waste of time. I’m never going to write a persuasive essay, argumentation paper, or whatever.

He’s a good teacher, but some of the rules he makes are just too much. It’s an hour and 20 minute class and after 10 minutes of the class starting no one late is allowed in; I think that’s a bit much.

Fall 2009

I enjoy this instructor. His attempts at teaching are good. He works hard and doesn’t quit until everyone has a understanding. This course on the other hand is stupid. I have learned everything in this course in 095 English. I should of never of had to take this class or 095 because we learn the same thing in each class so this school dicked me over for money on the same class two times and I’m pissed.

Great professor, has a long college teaching career ahead should he choose to pursue it. Instructors like this are what makes BCC prestigious amongst community colleges. Highly recommended A++ keep this one.

He never once said GO PHILLIES! I severely question his character.

He’s a very kind teacher. He really cares about his students and has always made an effort to connect with his students both inside and outside of class.

Personally, I think this class is boring because I hate grammar and writing. However, he is a very good teacher. He always checks to see if the class has any questions. He seems to be interested in our writing progress and helping us to learn a lot and do better in class.

Wend is very concerned and focused on everyone’s learning and grades. Always provides chances for questions.

I’m from ESL class and he always helps me when I do not understand or confuse about reading and understanding. When I write my assignments, he tries to correct all my mistakes. I learned a lot of things from him during semester.

At first glance I thought this would be a terrible class that I would dislike, but with a week or two I realized I really like this class. Mr. Wend is a great teacher who would not hesitate to help a student.

William Wend is an excellent professor. He seems to really care about the learning process and our success in our future education. Professor Wend has been very helpful with my essay writing. William continues to challenge us in our knowledge of the English language. I think his teaching style for all college professors. Professor Wend has been very helpful with my knowledge and use of proper grammar. Professor Wend is awesome. A great teacher for the students of Burlington County College.

I think that Professor Wend is a great teacher that focuses on the important aspects of teaching. He lets us learn in a laid back and comfortable setting. There are also no surprises, everything is well prepared and we have been fully informed.

The material we read is challenging but in the class discussion/lecture it makes sense.

Although Professor Wend has not been teaching on the college level very long he presents himself as a seasoned veteran. He allows time for questions, comments, or any concerns we have during class. He really knows his stuff and provides great feedback when returning assignments. If I could I would take another class taught by Mr. Wend. I look forward to the classes and in depth conversations we had during class. Great teacher =)
