Hyper Text Theory

Recently read: Hyper/Text/Theory (Edited By George Landow)

This anthology of early nineties hypertext theory is a bit older, but still extremely useful. Espen Aarseth’s essay on nonlinearity was useful for my MA Thesis and is in my thoughts as I begin putting together a proposal about the role of performance in elit.

Also useful is J Yellowlees Douglas’s essay on the role of closure in hypertext fiction.

I will have more to say about both of these essays in the coming weeks.
