When I converted to Ubuntu, one of the first things I looked for was a program to annotate pdfs. This is especially useful for school work because I always scan any articles I track down or receive in class for later annotation. At first, I had a very hard time finding a program for Linux. Eventually I came across Xournal, which allows users to highlight and annotate a file and then export it to pdf.
